ABOUT CAROLINA SOSA ABÓ
Creative offering photography and production services in Europe. Based in Amsterdam and originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, Carolina’s style blends nostalgia, clean lines, and a touch of rawness to create images that feel timeless and urban.
Her photography journey began in the darkrooms of Fotoclub Uruguayo, where she first developed her skills working with film in the darkroom. While she’s since expanded her expertise to digital formats, artificial lighting, and production, analogue photography remains central to her work. Today, Carolina moves seamlessly between film and digital formats, collaborating with clients to create unique and meaningful projects.
Outside of photography, Carolina has always had a passion for creating and developing concepts. She co-founded Rotunda, a fashion brand she built from the ground up, where she shaped its vision as creative director. The brand continues to thrive today. After moving to Amsterdam, she also gained valuable experience working with musicians and sportswear brands in Europe, deepening her understanding of product, market, and brand image, from boutique projects to large-scale operations.
Her love for fashion, design, music and sportswear shape her storytelling approach, centered on connecting ideas, people, and aesthetics. Carolina has a natural ability to bring every aspect of a project together—from concept to product to final image—ensuring a cohesive and meaningful result.
As both a photographer and creative, Carolina brings this wide-ranging experience to her work. Whether it’s a fashion shoot, a commercial campaign, or a personal project, her aim is to create images that feel authentic, compelling, and timeless.
